Why?

Without support from people like you, Cornergate Foundation could not sustain our work with ex-offenders* who struggle to resettle after time in prison. Together we can make a prisoner’s return to be an ultimately successful journey and one that they won’t have to travel again!

Examples:
£10 pays for a one-to-one meeting in a cafe where we build friendship and trust and discuss practical plans for employment, re-connecting with family etc.
£25 pays for 1 hour of advocacy advice prior to meetings with statutory agencies and, if required, attendance with the client at such meetings.
£150 pays for an emergency resettlement kit for someone being released from prison into homelessness - includes waterproof clothing, warm clothes, walking boots, sleeping bag, towel/toiletries etc.   (A Basic Kit for someone who is not homeless but is otherwise isolated and ill-equipped for release costs approximately £35-£50 depending on their particular shortages).

CF Crisis Fund: CF makes occasional emergency grants to people who are progressing well but have hit a particular financial obstacle.
Recent grants include replacement ovens, a mattress and a bed for four different people.  We also made vital donations of food and other goods with help from FoodBank.

Regular, monthly support allows us to plan for the future.  If at all possible please consider regular giving and GIFT AID* which costs you nothing in addition to your donation and allows CF to claim back an added 25% to your gift.

* Gift Aid may be claimed for both regular and one-off gifts so please ensure that you fill in the form if you are a UK tax-payer.

Ways to give
