Keys Community Detox

keysuk.org

Keys is a church based detox programme to help people escape from alcohol and drug addiction through integrated medical, spiritual and community support.

Cornergate Foundation works closely with Keys offering a community-based detox service that includes access to a doctor specialising in substance abuse. The service provides for ongoing support during the period of detoxification and allows clients to remain at home whilst coming off alcohol or drugs.

With Keys’ expert training and support Cornergate Foundation has also begun a weekly recovery support group that promotes ongoing abstinence and long term recovery.

Clean Sheet

cleansheet.org.uk

Clean Sheet is a national charity, supporting former prisoners by breaking the cycle of reoffending with real, sustainable employment. Clean Sheet has so far recruited 94 employers who have signed a pledge to offer work  opportunities to ex-offenders.

Cornergate Foundation works through South Hill Church, who are partners with Clean Sheet, to deliver regular training sessions to men at our local prison. The session, called ‘Ways To Work’, inspires, informs and instructs delegates in such things as how to prepare for job-hunting, interviews and the world of work. It also explores the area of self-esteem, seeking to encourage and raise aspiration and to let prisoners know that there are employers who will give them a second chance.

For more than 100 years, Counties has been sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with communities across the country. This is accomplished through three main areas of work, evangelists, training and resources. Counties supports evangelists planting churches, working in schools, prisons or with young people or the elderly. Counties also equips the church through its extensive range of training, day conferences, seminars, workshops, helping churches grow through evangelism and local mission.

Soul Survivor Watford

soulsurvivorwatford.co.uk

This is our home church and the place where guys and girls may attend church if they express interest in the Christian faith. It is a place of friendship, family and worship and somewhere to meet new, positive people who will be pleased to support an ex-offender in their journey or recovery/resettlement.

From SSW website:
“Our vision is to bring the good news of Jesus to all, with a particular emphasis on young people. We aim to equip and encourage people to live the whole of their lives for God.

We’re an Anglican church which means we’re part of the Church of England. We now meet in two warehouses next to each other on an industrial estate in North Watford. Join us for one of our services every Sunday…”
